Armenias New Cabinet Begins Work Under Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan

Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has
signed decrees appointing the members of the country's new government, formed
following the parliamentary elections. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will
continue to lead the Cabinet, while most key ministers have retained their
portfolios, ensuring continuity in governance and stability within the
executive branch.
The new government includes Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan, Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan, Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan, and Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan. However, following the formation of Armenia's new government, Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan left his post and was replaced by Davit Tadevosyan. Mher Grigoryan and Tigran Khachatryan have also been reappointed as Deputy Prime Ministers.
The retention of the core ministerial team reflects the
government's intention to ensure the consistent implementation of reforms
launched in previous years. The Cabinet will continue to focus on modernizing
the economy, advancing digital transformation in public administration,
developing high-tech industries, attracting foreign investment, and
implementing large-scale infrastructure projects.
Economic reform remains one of the government's top
priorities. In recent years, Armenia has recorded sustained economic growth,
rising exports, increased investment, and rapid expansion of its IT sector and
industrial production. The government aims to build on these achievements by
improving the business environment, supporting entrepreneurship, and advancing
major transport and logistics initiatives.
In foreign policy, the Pashinyan government will continue
its strategy of diversifying Armenia's international partnerships by
strengthening ties with the European Union, the United States, India, and the
Middle East, while maintaining pragmatic relations with regional partners.
Promoting a peace agenda in the South Caucasus and creating new economic
opportunities for the region will remain among the government's key priorities.
According to representatives of the ruling
team, the new Cabinet combines experience and continuity with a commitment to
further reforms. In the coming months, the government is expected to present
its policy program outlining priorities for socio-economic development,
strengthening state institutions, and improving the quality of life for
Armenia's citizens.
