Armenia Files Lawsuit against Azerbaijan at ECHR

On February 1, the Armenian government filed an interstate lawsuit against Azerbaijan with the European Court of Human Rights. Armenia accuses Azerbaijan of violating international conventions during the 44-day war and beyond, Armenian media reported.
In particular, the Armenian government claims that Azerbaijan violated the rights to life, inviolability, property, personal and family life, education and a number of other rights, and also tortured and showed inhuman attitude towards the population of Karabakh and Armenia.
Various arguments presented as proofs are attached to the claim, as well as the issues of protecting the rights of prisoners of war and civilians, refugees from Karabakh, the dead and wounded.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is also preparing to file lawsuits against Armenia for damage caused during the period of many years of occupation of the territories, the death of civilians, illegal exploitation of natural resources, etc.
