The restoration of the liberated territories has begun

A ceremony of laying the Horadiz-Agbend railway was held in the Fizuli region the day before with the participation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
The strategic importance of this road, 100 km long is the fact that it will play an important role in visiting the liberated territories and restore direct railway communication with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR).
"The road will be extended to Turkey, creating a second railway network connecting Azerbaijan and Turkey," Aliyev said at the ceremony.
In the neighboring, Zangilan region, with the participation of the head of state, a ceremony was held for the creation of the first "smart village" project. It will be created in the village of Third Agaly. The project will be implemented in 5 components: housing, manufacturing, social services, smart agriculture and alternative energy.
The energy needs of the village for 200 houses will be provided only from alternative sources.
In the village of Gulabird, Lachin region, a ceremony of launching a hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 8 mV took place. It became the first power plant rebuilt in the liberated territories after.
This hydroelectric power station will play an important role in the future provision of about 7 thousand people and infrastructure with electricity in the southern part of Lachin region and the village of Khanlyg in Gubadli region, I.Aliyev said at the launch of the hydroelectric power station.
According to the president, 17 hydroelectric power plants with a capacity of 120 mV will be restored or built in Lachin and Kelbajar regions alone.
The same amount of generating capacity will be created after the completion of the construction of the Khudaferin and Gyz Galasy HPPs on the Araz River on the border with Iran.
The head of state also visited the territory of the Basitchay state reserve in the Zangilan region. During the occupation, the Armenians destroyed half of the forest area of the reserve, as a result of which the ecological balance was seriously disturbed.
The authorities are taking measures to restore agriculture in the liberated territories, where the use of 100 hectares of arable land has already begun.
“Having mobilized all resources, equipment and labor, we ensured sowing on 7,000 hectares. In total, 20-25 thousand hectares will be sown this season. The agricultural potential of the liberated lands is enormous. Plant growing, fruit growing and animal husbandry will be developed on the liberated lands,” Aliyev said.
