Armenia has found a replacement for the rebellious head of the General Staff

By order of the Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan, the former Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Artak Davtyan was appointed senior officer for special assignments of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, reported the Armenian media with reference to the Ministry of Defense.
The term of office of Chief of the General Staff Onik Gasparyan, who was dismissed by order of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, expires on March 9.
Apparently, he was replaced by Artak Davtyan, who himself was fired from this post in June 2020. The reason was the organization of the wedding of Davtyan's son under quarantine conditions.
However, the main intrigue is how the officers of the General Staff, as well as the country's opposition, will perceive this. It is hard to believe that they will silently accept and agree with this step of Pashinyan
