Russian Foreign Ministry: Moscow will contact Yerevan and Baku on the creation of a delimitation commission

Alexey Zaytsev, Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, answering Vestnik Kavkaza correspondent's question about the current stage of diplomatic work on the creation of a bilateral commission on the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, said that Moscow planned to conduct additional contacts with Yerevan and Baku on this topic.
"We continue to work closely with partners to implement the Statement of the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia adopted in Sochi on November 26, 2021, which, among other things, provides for the creation of a bilateral commission on the delimitation of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border with its subsequent demarcation with the advisory assistance of Russia," Alexey Zaytsev said first of all.
"We are confident that the formation of the commission and the launch of the delimitation process will prevent the occurrence of border incidents and, in general, will make an important contribution to the normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan", said the Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"We plan to hold relevant contacts, the media will be properly informed about the results", he said.
