US approves bill banning import of Russian oil, gas and coal
The US House of Representatives approved the bill banning imports of energy resources from Russia and on measures to suspend Russia’s participation in WTO. The voting was live streamed on the website of the House.
It passed the House with 414 votes in favor and 17 against and now goes to the Senate before being signed into law by President Joe Biden.
The documents provides for the ban on import of energy resources from Russia, including oil and gas. US officials are also instructed to consider steps for the purpose of suspending Russia’s participation in WTO.
