Toivo Klaar: Within my mandate I will try to help Armenia and Azerbaijan overcome conflict
Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan received the delegation headed by EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar.
The delegation also included the head of the EU delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, as informed NEWS.am.
The EU Special Representative said that, as part of his mandate, he will try to help Armenia and Azerbaijan overcome the conflict and normalize relations, noting the importance of small steps, including improved infrastructures.
In his turn, the Minister stressed that Armenia attaches great importance to the establishment of peace in the region, and active discussions are taking place on unblocking the roads.
During the meeting, issues related to the improvement of infrastructures in border communities were discussed.
The Minister presented the current situation and the process of the works to the EU Special Representative.
In her turn, Wiktorin assured that Syunik and border communities will be in the center of their attention.
