Chief of Staff and Head of National Security Service resign in Armenia

Armenia’s President Armen Sargsyan on Monday received proposals from Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the dismissal of Artak Davtyan, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and Eduard Martirosyan, head of the National Security Service (NSS). The press service of the President's Office informed News.am about this.
Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that the wedding of Artak Davtyan's son took place Sunday while in a state of emergency—due to the COVID-19 situation in the country, and which was attended by several dozen people; this is noted as the main reason for his dismissal.
As for Eduard Martirosyan being sacked, the press was talking about this for a week ago, although two days ago the NSS chief had denied in the National Assembly that he had written a letter of resignation.
