Armenian officer taken prisoner

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Shushan Stepanyan posted the following on her Facebook page, according to News.am:
“On August 22 at around 7:30 p.m., for the purpose of checking a military post, officer Gurgen Alaverdyan got confused and got lost due to unfavorable climate. A search is being conducted.
The press release of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan on sabotage is misinformation through which the lost officer is presented as a saboteur.”
On their side, the Azerbaijani media make reference to the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan and report that Armenian Armed Forces senior leutenant Girgen Alaverdyan was taken prisoner on the morning of August 23 during a failed attack attempt made by Armenian sabotage group on the frontline in Goranboy district.
