t is a completely legal, and it is a religious right of the Azerbaijan Republic to liberate and free its territories from occupation, Trend reports citing the statement by the representatives of the Iranian Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, spread by Iranian media outlets.

The joint statement was signed by Seyyed Mohammad Ali Al Hashem in East Azerbaijan Province, Seyyed Mehdi Ghoreishi in West Azerbaijan Province, Seyyed Hassan Amili in Ardabil Province and Ali Khatami in Zanjan Province.

The representatives stressed that Azerbaijan is retaking its territories, within the framework of the four UN Security Council resolutions, according to which Armenia should immediately withdraw its armed forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.

The statement further said that Iran hails the recent victories of Azerbaijan, thanks all the soldiers who died fighting for their land, and hopes that the issue will be resolved soon with the establishment of justice.
